Environmental Volunteering Values among University Students: Comparison between Gender and Study Stream

Environmental education has been embedded across the curriculum in primary and secondary school to foster value of volunteerism environmental conservation. In this regard, students’involvement requires support from different parties, especially educational institutions. light, students often face constraints that damper their intention continue involvement as volunteers. The values volunteerism, specifically religion, biospheric, egoistic, altruistic, are predictive factors sustaining students’ volunteerism. Thus, study aims examine among university compare these based on respondents’ gender streams. This quantitative employed survey research method where sets questionnaire were distributed 357 respondents chosen volunteers Klang Valley, Malaysia. data was analysed using descriptive, t-test ANOVA. results showed demonstrate high values, religious, altruistic values. There significant differences egoistic religious female male respondents. a higher value, while demonstrated value. Furthermore, streams demonstrateddifferent study’s findings emphasize approaches should be taken students. could also help sustain volunteering activities.
